A new free web game for the iPhone was released by muquit. The name of the game is Mastermind, and essentially it’s a puzzle game that will test your analytical and memory skills. The game rules are:
* Your iPhone creates a code with 4 colors randomly picked from 6 colors (first row).
* The number of colors can repeat.
* Your goal is to find the code.
* Start by guessing 4 colors.
* Score will be given with black and/or white pegs.
* A black peg indicates a color is correct and it is also at the right position. A white peg indicates a color is correct but it is at the wrong position. The scoring pegs do not indicate the order of the guessed colors.

A new version of ApolloIM native iPhone AIM instant messenger client is now available. Most recent changes include:
Fixed edge / “Generic Error” problems. Turns out the iPhone’s DNS resolver is royally f’d and the new Firetalk didn’t like it, but I have remedied this for now by just popping the raw IP into the server host field.
This should fix the immediate issues that cropped up from last release. Notably “Generic Error,” and this will also be the last release until Monday night where I endeavor to clear out the “Issues” page. Several dev’s are getting ready to do branches with sound/vibrate updates and I’m personally gearing up for a real “suspend”.

NES.app, the other iPhone Nintendo Entertainment System emulator out there, coded by nervegas based on stepwhite’s code (stepwhite is the coder responsible for the iPhoneNES original iPhone NES emulator, which is based on InfoNES, which in its turn is based on pNesX, which are both open source NES emulators — amazing how the open source community works), reached a very mature v1.0.
Among the most notable recent additions are:
0.99.06 [nervegas] Fixed rare controller-getting-stuck bug
NOTE: 0.99.06 is built with the new toolchain, and is not
compatible with prevous versions’ save games.

Added alert for invalid game genie codes; don’t save
Fixed alert sheet presentation / removed gap from bottom

Added 1-second delay for sound initialization
1.00_RC2[nervegas] Added suspend for incoming call, graceful exit for power off
Removed “Allow Suspend” option, too complicated with sound
Changed on-demand installer text to be more coherent+restart
Added Swap A/B Preference
Tapered off buttons in full screen / landscape mode
Cleanup of full screen code, fixes for buffer overruns
Fixed some games not appearing right in full screen
New icon to experiment with
