Yet another native Apple iPhone game was released. FiveDice is a clone of the Yahtzee game.
The objective of the Five Dice iPhone game is to score the most points by rolling five dice to make certain combinations. The dice can be rolled up to three times in a turn to try to make one of the thirteen possible scoring combinations.
In order to play the game you need to have a jailbreaked iPhone and Installer.app, which is currently the only way you can download it.

The iPhone makes voicemail super easy. From recording an outgoing message to listening to new voicemails, it just works. The only thing is, recording an outgoing message never turns out just right because it’s being recorded through iPhone’s tiny microphone. The way around it - upload a custom outgoing message to your iPhone.

iPhone MobileChat is an Apple iPhone native AIM instant messenger client (like ApolloIM, only deemed to be better by some).
Stated iPhone Mobilechat features include:
* AIM Account Support
* IM Abilities
* Full Buddylist with Statuses
* Change status: Away & Online
* Suspend and stay online
* Sound notifications
* Popup Notifications
The program will work through EDGE and via almost any WiFi connection. And considering that the developers’ motto is “as intended by Cupertino”, it’s quite obvious that iPhone MobileChat is an ambitious undertaking.
At the moment the only way to get MobileChat, which is currently at v1.0 Beta 1, is through Installer.app. Its creators are also looking for some help with coding the program, so check out their page if you’d like to help with its development.

Only two days after iTunes v7.4 came out, Apple quickly released an update for the program.
iTunes v7.4.1 seems to have been released specifically to plug the iTunes bug that allowed iPhone users to rename any AAC file into iPhone’s proprietary ringtones extension and import them, essentially getting free ringtones.
However those that did create free ringtones from some AAC files before upgrading to v7.4.1 seem to be able to keep them… Maybe if only until a new iTunes update comes out. And at the same time a lot of the previously released iPhone hacks based on iTunes .dll also don’t work properly in v7.4.1.
You can download iTunes v7.4.1 on Apple’s website or through the auto update feature. But that’s only if you want to block out the free ringtones feature…
Although Apple removed the download links for iTunes v7.4 (with which you could make free ringtones), we managed to find them, and also made local copies of the files in case these are completely removed.
Direct downloads:
- iTunes v7.4 for Mac (38MB) mirror 1 (Apple) | mirror 2 (iPhone World)
- iTunes v7.4 for Windows (49MB) mirror 1 (Apple) | mirror 2 (iPhone World)
NOTE: be careful not to use the iTunes auto-update feature if you’re using a previous iTunes version (v7.3.x, etc…) — or if you’ve already installed v7.4. One uncareful click and you will lose the free ringtones feature. And completely uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes is a hassle, and coincidentally the only way to downgrade your iTunes to a previous version. So download one of the appropriate distributions of iTunes v7.4 above instead of the iTunes auto update feature (which is already at v7.4.1).
