iPhone Price Drop: What’s Your Opinion?

As an early iPhone adopter, I willingly paid a premium price for the bragging rights to a groundbreaking new gadget.

iPhone JAVA programs:bookmarklets

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Here is the explanation by Steve Kangas.
Many can be used with Safari. SV

How do they work?
Each bookmarklet is a tiny program (a JavaScript application) contained in a bookmark (the URL is a "javascript:" URL) which can be saved and used the same way you use normal bookmarks. The idea was suggested in the Netscape JavaScript Guide.

JavaScript has been used by page authors on millions of webpages; Bookmarklets allow anybody to use JavaScript - on whatever page you choose (not just your own page).

Bookmarklets are simple tools that extend the surf and search capabilities of Netscape and Explorer web browsers.

Bookmarklets are free.

Bookmarklets allow you to:

* Modify the way you see someone else's webpage.
* Extract data from a webpage.
* Search more quickly, and in ways not possible with a search engine.
* Navigate in new ways.

...and more. Over 150 bookmarklets are available.

Bookmarklets work on all platforms (Windows, Macintosh, Unix,...)

You do not have to download or install software to use Bookmarklets.

16Gb iPhone with HSDPA to hit Europe from 12 november

The price cut is explained. A 16 Gb iPhone version is coming out in europe, first for the geman market. T-Mobile advertises with this new product for 499 euro. That is around 687 US$ and compared with the original price of 600 US$ for the 8 Gb Edge US version will explain the price cut of 200 US$. For that huge “price” you get a iTunes coupon with it. T-Mobile says the iPhone will be availible from 12th november. click the pic. There are 3 monthly plans L, XL and XXL which cost you 49, 59 and 69 a month.
Th big difference is the max data speed of 3.6 mbit/s with UMTS / HSDPA technique. This will enhance the experience with online applications like Webex’s PCNow and it might allow you to make cheap international calls with Skype. We will wait and see what happens next in Europe. We will report everything new on this topic, so please revisit us as often as you wish.
