Restore Bricked iPhones To Factory Mode?

A new method has been found on how to "rivirginize" iPhones that were bricked from the v1.1.1 firmware update back to a factory locked state. That's right, they claim that this will bring it back to being good as new, just like it was when you got it. We haven't had time to test this one yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Also, despite the excellent guide, it doesn't appear to be completely finished yet, so be warned.

Instructions to Re-Virginize iPhone OS v1.0.2 shows up - Not an Official iPhone Dev Team Release

When the iPhone Dev Team released their latest version of anySIM, the free GUI based SIM unlock tool for iPhone OS v1.1.1, it was only limited to virgin iPhones i.e. all those who had bought their new iPhones recently with OS v1.1.1 running on it or iPhones that were upgraded from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 but had NEVER unlocked their iPhone. iToner v1.0.4 Released

Ambrosia Software has released another update for their iToner software. Version 1.0.4 is now available. For those who don't know, iToner is a drag-and-drop app for transferring MP3 and AAC audio files to your iPhone for use as custom ringtones.

Among the changes from the previous version are more robust iPhone v1.1.1 support to fix non-playing ringtones and a fix for a bug with playlists being updated.
