
We just received an interesting email from Apple announcing that they have made the addition to their Apple Developers Connection of the iPhone Dev Center. It describes itself as “your single source of information for designing, coding, and optimizing web applications for iPhone and iPod touch”.

Rumor has it that the highly hyped Samsung F700 smartphone is well on it’s way to the US in the near future. According to CrunchGear, an anonymous source claims that Verizon will be getting the F700 in the form of a CDMA version. No specifics were given, and the message is mysterious at best.

If you’ve been lamenting the absence of UK-based news reporting on your iPod (what, really?) then you’ll be overjoyed to hear that ITN, who produce the factual bulletins for British channel ITV, have signed a deal with Apple that will see their mobile news and entertainment content available as free downloads via iTunes. The footage will be funded by a video advert from Ad Infuse shown beforehand.

For a moment it seemed like all-systems-go for Canada, where legions of Apple-hungry shoppers with wads of Canadian dollars burning holes in their pockets have been anxiously waiting for the iconic handset, as Molson Export - a beer company based in Quebec - advertised a competition in which several iPhones are to be the prize. Listed as using the Rogers Wireless network and worth $800 each, it was claimed the handsets would be delivered to winners in January 2008.
