Two iPhones per person, no cash accepted, says Apple

It seems that Apple has had enough of folks buying the iPhone for unlocking and resale. According to a new Apple policy, one customer can purchase a maximum of two iPhones, and cash is no longer accepted to pay for the device.

Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said “Customer response to the iPhone has been off the charts, and limiting iPhone sales to two per customer helps us ensure that there are enough iPhones for people who are shopping for themselves or buying a gift. We’re requiring a credit or debit card for payment to discourage unauthorized resellers.

According to Apple over 1.4 million units of the iPhone were sold since its launch in late June 2007. Apple’s CFO Tim Cook stated that Apple believes that 250,000 of those iPhones were intended for unlocking and resale.

While iPhone unlocking and resales could have a beneficiary immediate effect on Apple’s revenues in the short term, the company is losing long term revenue it receives from the phone’s exclusive carrier AT&T that splits its customer profits with Apple.

It remains the most impressive piece of technology we’ve seen this decade - it really must be seen to be believed,” said the judges from Stuff magazine.

It is worth noting that iPhone had been chosen the coolest gadget of the year by a British magazine before it has been launched on a British market. That echoed in UK’s magazines and newspapers.

Nick Clayton, the Scotsman Magazine technology writer, said the iPhone deserved to be chosen the best as it was revolutionary, while the others were mostly developments of previous technology.

The official UK’s premiere of the iPhone is to take place on 9th of November 2007, while Apple fans seem to have been waiting for it for a very long time…

Ballmer — A Coke Head?

Picture 7

Watch this video interview with MS CEO Steve Ballmer and see if you don’t conclude he’s a coke head.
Ballmer sniffs and snorts throughout and he’s constantly rubbing his nose as if he’s dying to take giant snot snorts.
If you were sitting in a bar with him, there’d be no doubt he just did a couple of fat rails.
