Apps: iFlix and iRadio

We’ve got two apps to tell you about. The first one is a new drag-and-drop NetFlix queue called iFlix. It’s by Brent Jenson, and it has support for multiple accounts, downloads thumbnails of movies, lists up to 100 movies at a time, and has a search feature.

New Jailbreak Activates iPhone, Runs on PowerPC

Jailbreak for iPhones running version 1.1.2 has been updated to include activation for non-AT&T subscribers and now runs on PowerPC Macs. In addition to activating, the new jailbreak also includes YouTube support which officially only comes with an AT&T contract. Best of all, LibReadline is no longer required to be installed, minimizing download size and hassle. The jailbreak still requires you to start with version 1.1.1, so you’ll need to downgrade if you’ve already jumped to v1.1.2. Read more about Conceited’s jailbreak at their website.

iRadio Brings Streaming Radio to iPhone, YAY [Apple]

iRadio, by Conceited Software, just received an update which brings it much closer to being a valuable iPhone app. The app is basically a SHOUTcast player for the iPhone that allows playing and browsing of thousands of online stations. The app works best under WiFi, but is not limited to it, and does work while using EDGE.
