Nova Media announced that it will present its Fone2Phone program at Macworld Expo 2008.
It is a very helpful piece of software created to make transferring data from an old mobile into a new one (read: iPhone) easier. It uses an interface which, integrated with Macintosh desktop applications, and allows its user to copy contacts, events, tasks, notes, bookmarks, photos, music and movies from the old cell phone to the Mac.

It is very simple and easy to use. All that the user really needs to do is to choose the mobile and data that needs to be transferred, after which iTunes transfers it onto your iPhone or iPod, depending on the type of data, of course.
That is how Nova Media’s, Jan Fuellemann, PR spokesperson describes their product: “This little jewel takes care of the complete communication process, from connecting the cell phone to saving the files in the appropriate locations on the Mac.”
System requirements: Mac OS X 10.4.11 (10.5.2 or higher for Leopard).
Initially Fone2Phone will cost Euro 12,52 plus VAT (approximately $19 U.S.). After January 31 2008 will cost Euro 16,72 plus VAT (approximately $25 U.S.). A demo version will be available on January 14.
You can already preorder or buy Fone2Phone at Nova Media’s website.

As anybody who has tried to move from one platform to another knows, sometimes swapping data between formats is easier said than done. Back in September developer MarkSpace promised iPhone adopters a new version of their synchronisation software, The Missing Sync, in order to transfer information from their BlackBerry, Palm or Windows Mobile handheld, and they’ve made good on their promise with the newly available client.
