If you believe what RBC Capital Markets analyst Mike Abramsky says (and that's a big if), Apple will unleash the phone via Rogers Communications — the country's largest mobile service provider.

Google’s iPhone Revamp

Just in time for Macworld, Google has updated its mobile software for the iPhone severely, to improve the user experience. Things like customization of tabs and a faster Gmail are just some of the changes, which are being welcomed warmly. Although mainly speed improvements, you’ll find this update to be an enjoyable one, which fixes some of the clunkyness of the previous version.

New features include:

Improved UI (Ease of use via touch-screen, updated looks)
Customized default tabs (Access to selected Google apps and sites via Google menu bar)
Faster GMail (New emails appear instantly, with no need of manual refreshing)
Faster Calendar (Entire-month viewing, allowing the ability to see any marked dates or appointments easily.)
iGoogle (Google gadgets for the iPhone, accessible from the iGoogle link within the Home tab)
