
GeoHot is at it again. He writes in his blog that he has successfully unlocked a 1.1.2 firmware and bootloader 4.6 iPhone via (what else?) a hardware hack. It's about 3 days too late, but better late then never.

There's currently no network solution inIt has been expected by most that the iPhone will be a tough sell in Japan due to the abundance and popularity of 3G handsets that make up the majority of phones there, but a survey conducted by JR Toaki Express Research says that Japan might be more open to the 2G device than expected. They conducted a survey in Japan on consumers' attitude toward the device, and the Japanese are interested.

Apple has announced that it will be holding a conference call webcast discussing its first quarter results of 2008 on Tuesday, January 22nd at 2:00 PM PST and 5:00 EST. Speakers on the conference call will take questions from analysts after the results are declared and listeners will need QuickTime to be installed to listen in.
