Nagoya-based Aiphone chose this week to tell the world that it has been
in talks with Apple since last summer about giving the US firm the right to use the ‘iPhone’ trademark in Japan.
Aiphone Co Ltd, which handles interphones and other products, announced March 24, 2008, that it reached a friendly agreement with Apple Inc after negotiating issues concerning the similarity between the brand name owned by Aiphone and Apple's mobile phone "iPhone."
