Sega Producer Discusses iPhone Gaming

Last month when Apple unveiled the iPhone Software Roadmap, they brought up several developers who were asked to create demo applications for the iPhone. Although development time was constrained to two weeks, developers from EA, AOL, and Salesforce.com all came with example applications for the iPhone. One of the coolest demos came from Sega which demoed the game Super Monkey Ball.

Recently GameCyte had the chance to sit down with Ethan Einhorn from Sega and discuss what it was like to work with the iPhone and the SDK. He notes that the iPhone is just as easy to use as the Wii and was a breeze to develop for. Video after the break!

iPhone 2.0 Saves Images From Safari

The latest iPhone beta seeded to developers now has the ability to save images from within Safari to the iPhone's photo gallery. According to a tip received by Gizmodo, tapping and holding on an image in Safari will bring up a menu that offers the option to "Save Photo". Next to copy and paste, the ability to save images from Safari is an obvious feature. Now you can finally save those wallpapers from ThemeMyPhone straight from Safari with no need to sync. Brilliant!

The iPhone 2.0 beta is currently only available to select iPhone developers. Apple plans to release the next iPhone software update sometime in June.
