Today Techspansion released AudialHub, an application designed to convert dozens of
different audio formats (and even the audio tracks from video ï¬les) to AAC, MP3, WMA, WAV, and Apple Lossless. Standard metadata tags in most formats are also converted and passed on to the ï¬nished ï¬le.
Audio CDs and MP3 CDs can be burned within AudialHub, ï¬ting up to 16 hours of MP3 audio on a single CD-R.
A new Leopard-inspired interface keeps the job as uncluttered and simple as possible,
while at the same time ready to jump in with extensive Advanced settings and
workflows at a moment’s notice. Nearly every aspect of the decoding and encoding workflow is available for tweaking by advanced and expert users. A dynamic Preview panel allows for quick playback checks. Multiple queues — all with their own separate settings — can be run simultaneously.

Automation of conversion and post-conversion activities is possible via AppleScript, and an Assembly Line Mode keeps AudialHub on its toes, ready for new files at any time.
AudialHub is available immediately for only $18.81 USD, with a free trial available.
For a limited time, Techspansion is also offering a Crossgrade Discount to all its current VisualHub users.

An independent developer by the online name of mars1907 has created a new native app that brings Newton-like handwriting recognition to the iPhone. Called HWPen, the technology utilizes the iPhone's touch sensitivity to allow you to draw letters with your fingertip instead of type them on the keyboard, which is then recognized as a character and entered as text.
On an interesting note, the software was originally created by Hanwang.com.cn for the recognition of Chinese characters, but supports the Latin alphabet and Arabic numerals, too.
You can get HWPen on iPhone by adding the source iphonecake.com/src/all . Also, this app is still in beta, so it might be a good idea to back up your springboard plist /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist beforehand.

Rumor has it that residents of India may be getting the iPhone sooner than those in China. An Apple retail source in the country says that the 8GB iPhone will be released soon, starting at the target price of Rs 28,000. Allegedly, an Apple source has clarified some of the details, saying that the carrier to get the device would be Vodafone, allowing users to purchase an iPhone the normal way rather than go to the trouble of unlocking the device. (Of course, hearing that Apple would clarify something like this sounds pretty unusual, so don’t take our word for it.)
