We’re not really sure what to make of this, but it looks like Apple’s a little less friendly about people hacking their display iPhones as we thought. Four teenagers in Palo Alto, CA claim that they were banned from all Apple stores, worldwide, after they hacked a display iPhone and downloaded and installed Raging Thunder onto it.

Up until now, trying to browse the files and folders on the iPhone has been complicated and difficult, but things just got easier for Windows users. A new program for Windows called iPhoneBrowser does exactly what it’s name implies; you can use it to browse the files on your iPhone. Not only that, but you can drag files to and from the browser as well. It even offers a backup system to keep everything safe. Best of all, there is no jailbreak required, so you don’t even need to hack your iPhone to use it.

We first heard about iControlPad, the third party hardware add-on that adds gaming controls to the iPhone, last week. Now it’s back for it’s first feature role in a demo video, showing a prototype of the device at work. While it’s not pretty yet, and it’s not all that exciting, it is proof that the project is under way. Video after the break.

Infineon has unveiled a new 3G mobile chipset yesterday that will provide a significantly faster internet experience, which also would be a good candidate for a future version of the iPhone. It combines the XMM 6180 app processor and the X-GOLD 618 baseband chip. They claim it will be their first to provide support for full HSPA (wiki), and will reach download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and unusually high upload speeds of up to 2.9Mbps.
