If rumors are true, Apple has really been holding out on us and going a long way to hide some cool new features they've added to the iPhone 2.2 beta. The latest version listed only "compatibility testing" in its release notes, but sources have uncovered several big new features.

Yet another security flaw in the iPhone's software had been found, and while it's probably not particularly harmful to the majority of users, it is pretty interesting. Karl Kraft posted the exploit on his blog, but he wasn't the one to uncover it. No, despite his skills with a computer and knowledge of the software, he didn't find it. Instead he says it was found by his 12-year-old son.

Updated iPhone wallpaper sized for iPhone's

If you too were enticed by the iPhone 3G to dump your previous phone and wireless carrier like an un-cool, un-shiny sack of garbage, then you probably won't be too surprised to hear this but market research firm NPD Group recently released a report in which they found that nearly one in three iPhone 3G customers in the US switched to AT&T from another carrier to get an iPhone. They also found that the iPhone 3G topped smartphone sales in it's category.

OObject is a curious bloggish sort of site where each post is a collation of objects, brought together under a particular theme. They have a whole category for Apple stuff, including the 19 all time worst Apple products, 12 blatant iPod knock-offs, and 15 best Stevenotes.
You’ll probably be most interested in the 15 best Apple product concept mockups, though. You’ll have seen most of them before, but it’s nice to see them all together at last.
The list of 20 famous Mac users could do with a little work, though: putting Steve Jobs in there doesn’t really count.

Japanese iPhone carrier Softbank Mobile recently closed a deal with management and technology consultancy BearingPoint that will be one of the first major corporate contracts for the iPhone 3G. BearingPoint is putting 1000 iPhone 3G's into their employee's hands across the country.
