After you have bought the new iPhone 3G (to be rolled out on Friday, July 11) and have replaced your original iPhone with new iPhone 3G and have verified that its restored with the personal data from the original iPhone, I guess the next logical step would be to sell the original iPhone unless ofcourse you want to use it as a Wi-Fi iPod or have already sold it. There are quite a few options available out there so I thought it would be a good time to check them out to see which one would be the best place...

The iPhone 3G's weren't supposed to go up in their displays until the device had actually launched, but one has found it's way to a display stand in a Swiss iPhone 3G store well ahead of it's intended launch date, where it can be walked up to, picked up, and played with by anyone to walk in off the street. It looks like Apple is taking this anti-Rogers thing more seriously than we thought. According to AppleInsider, Apple has decided that, due to the crappy and hugely overpriced data plans being offered by Rogers Wireless and Fido for iPhone 3G customers in Canada, and the resulting overwhelming negative public response toward them, Apple will not be selling the iPhone 3G in any of their Canadian stores. The news came during a private conference call Monday evening from Apple representatives.

Marko Karppinen, principal at MK&C, an eight-person software development studio in Helsinki, Finland, wrote a post on the company blog today claiming Apple responded to a phishing expedition by someone with a yahoo.com email address and turned over Karppinen’s Apple ID password, compromising his personal details, .Mac account information and Apple Store profile data.
Apple’s Developer Relations department did not respond to requests for comment.

Apple has posted details of what you will need to purchase an iPhone 3G in the U.S. and what to expect at an Apple Store. According to Apple, you will need a credit card, your social security number, a valid government-issued photo ID, and your current wireless account number and password or PIN if you're a new AT&T customer.
