AT&T Announces Speed Improvements to 3G Network Ahead of Second-Gen iPhone Launch
On Wednesday, wireless carrier AT&T announced a more than 20% speed increase to its typical download speeds across its 3G wireless network as well as a 50% increase to typical upload speeds. The carrier credited the improvements to recent network enhancements, including the deployment of High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology across all existing 3G markets that is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
