Buddy Finder by Navizon, for the iPhone (GPS!)

Previously, Navizon had released a program that allowed the iPhone to be used as an assisted GPS (A-GPS), and it was welcomed warmly.

Recently they released a new version featuring Buddy Finder, which allows you to easily locate friends that are simply added by email. Navizon works by searching for WiFi hotspots and cellular towers and relaying where you are in relation.

Since the iPhone doesn’t actually have GPS, this is the best alternative thus far. Navizon works through Google Maps so it’s also pretty safe, as well as detailed. There is a 15 day free trial available, or if you wish to purchase it, it costs $24.95. You can get either from Navizon here.
