Over at the Hackint0sh forums, a couple of people decided to unlock their iPhone, little did they know, opening their phone after completing the software, was not such a great idea. At least they now have a door stop, brick, frisbee, and tons of other useful tasks.
We were so happy, all the software part was done, so we started opening the iphone. The antenna cover was a bit tricky but eventually it came off. Then we started to open the metal cover (after taking out the 3 screws) and PUFF, up it went in smoke, I think my collegue must have touched something. It literally went up in black smoke. I was so hot that when I tried to pick it up I burnt my fingers. So, this is for sure the most difficult part of the whole process. I don’t know what he did, as I had just stepped out of the room to fetch something when I heard a scream…they got such a fright.

Remember those new iPhone ads I showed you not too long ago? Well sure enough, if it’s a decent Apple commercial, there are going to be parodies, and there are.
This one is even quite humorous if I do say so myself. It is regarding a gentleman and his bricked iPhone.

I would say it must have been someone very enterprising must have come up with this, but it appears to be free, so I am going to go with someone very desperate. They kept it very simple too.
You open the application on your iPhone and there is a bar at the top that has a start button, while, running if you will, the start button turns into a stop button. One button functionality and you are off and running.

Starting the day with something funny, we’ve already seen the knitted iPhone and a very impressive wood & aluminium facsimile, but how about a clay iPhone? Apparently intended as part of a prank on his wife, Flickr user vaughn235 put together a tactile looking iPhone copy - complete with box and dock - made out of Sculpey Premo modelling clay.
