Two Apple employees have been charged with the theft of 322 iPhones from the Mall at Rockingham Park.
Police yesterday arrested Joshua Garrand, 28, of Methuen, Mass., and Christopher Nashed, 22, of Sandown on felony theft charges of stealing $132,468 worth of the popular computer phone and reselling them on the black market, police said.
Garrand and Nashed were taken into custody at their homes yesterday afternoon without incident.
"These (phones) are in very high demand," said Deputy police Chief William Ganley.
Police wouldn't say how the men were selling the iPhones; however, investigators were first contacted by the store in early January.
Salem police Sgt. Steve Malisos dug through store records and spent three months on the case.

The iPod Observer has conducted an interview with Gartner analyst Ken Dulaney.
In the phone interview Dulaney indicated that he believes Apple has ordered a second round of iPhones, amounting to 10 million units, based on what he's heard in Asian circles. This order would be in addition to the ten million first generation iPhones that Apple has said it will sell by the end of 2008.
Dulaney also speculated that the 3G iPhone will use an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. This would lead to a thinner phone and lower power consumption.

iPhone World:
Interestingly enough approximately 30% of all iPhones are unlocked. And to prove this there is some simple math to be done.
Firstly, Apple revealed that they have sold 3.7 million iPhones last year. Now AT&T, in their recent press conference said that 2 million iPhones were subscribed to their network. Germany, UK and France have around 200k-400k (no official figures were released) which makes around 1 million iPhones. Moreover, total European and American number accumulates to 3 million.
So here you have it. Around 1/3 or 1/4th of the iPhones are unlocked. Even Apple commented that they believe unlocked iPhone numbers are significant.
