Pour a Virtual Pint For iPhone 2

Picture 3.png

iBeer is a virtual pint for the iPhone and iPod Touch that is supposed to behave like a real pint of delicious bubbly beer, according to the developers.

Thanks to the iPhone’s accelerometers, it tips, pours and drains like a real pint. It even foams up when you shake the iPhone.

However, the $3 app is getting mixed reviews on the iTunes App Store. Some love it, but many say the fun lasts for about 30 seconds.

“For $3, I can get a real beer,” says one.

Here it is in action on YouTube:

App: Midomi Guesses What Song Your Humming

For those of you who aren’t familiar, Midomi.com is a website that can listen to a song you hum into a microphone and guess what it is. Now they have launched a native iPhone application that uses their database of songs so you can find out the name of that song stuck in your head no matter where you are just by humming into your iPhone. Gizmodo gave it a try humming a little-known tune by Rick Astley into it and it guessed the app after just 48 seconds. You can download the app in the App Store.

Fonix To Bring Voice Dialing To iPhone

File this under the long, long list of reasons why having third party native applications on the iPhone is a very good idea. If you’ve been waiting for Apple to add voice-dialing functionality to the iPhone, you’ll probably be waiting a long, long time, but Fonix Speech, Inc. has stepped up to offer their own solution. It’s called iSpeak, and it lets you dial any of your contacts with no more than a voice command, as well as select an artist, song, or playlist in the iPod app.

WhatTasks: GTD App Coming To App Store

We just got tipped off about another application that will be heading to the App Store. It’s called WhatTasks, and it’s a To-Do/ GTD application for the iPhone and iPod touch. So far this is the first true native GTD application that we’ve actually seen a decent overview of, and based on that, it looks very cool. WhatTasks is intended to help you keep track of the three basic principles of GTD philosophy: what you need to do, when you need to do it, and where it needs to be done.
