Apple has announced the official carriers of the iPhone 3G in nations around the world, but one carrier who didn't get the deal is refusing to take it sitting down. Because of this, they are asking the people to show their support for their cause by digging their blog post on the popular social news website Digg.com.

According to Australian IT, wireless carrier Telstra will be joining Optus and Vodafone in offering the iPhone 3G at it's launch. According to unnamed sources, they will be getting the 3G iPhone on July 22nd, eleven days after it's rival carriers. Perhaps most unusual about the announcement is that their sources also say the Australian iPhone 3G will be capable of operating on the 850Mhz frequency range, something the original iPhone was not capable of.
