Apparently some iPhone owners are having issues with their signal strength which is due to the SIM card not fitting all that well. Which can be catastrophic, at least in our minds, we can’t have any of that weak signal holding us back. No one likes to repeat themselves fifteen times.

How fast are your fingers? Prior to the iPhone’s launch - and a hot topic in the days following - was the potential speed (or lack of) of the handset’s on-screen keyboard. Smartphone addicts wept like fresh dental surgery faced with hot coffee, trying to balance their need for the latest in Apple-land with their familiarity with a proper - albeit small - thumb keyboard. Now usability consultancy User Centric have put digits to the test to see just how much of an impact virtual keyboards have on texting time.

Having not seen photos of the supposed end-result, I’m dubious about the story, but The North Denver News is reporting that Denver resident Thomas Martel has, so frustrated with inaccurate touchscreen prodding, had his thumbs surgically “whittled” so that they’re more precise for small on-screen buttons.
