Telecom Italia Announces Additional iPhone 3G Pricing Details

On Tuesday, wireless carrier Telecom Italia announced assorted details as to its two-year subscription prices for the iPhone 3G. Though the carrier has yet to disclose the full cost of its plans, the iPhone 3G handset should retail for about €199 with an entry-level subscription.

Morgan Stanley Predicts iPhone 3G to Sell Well as Pay-As-You-Go Handset

Financial firm Morgan Stanley has announced that it believes the iPhone 3G could double its sales when the handset is released to the market later this year.

"We believe the market generally expects a doubling of iPhone units with the lower price point ($199) and we believe this is realistic, if not conservative," Morgan Stanley said, predicting 27 million iPhone sales for 2009.

Native iPhone Application Allows for Full Control of iRobot’s Packbot Over Wi-Fi Connection

You probably won't end up using this, but it's cool nonetheless. A pair of developers from the University of South Florida has created a native iPhone application capable of operating iRobot's Packbot unit (a.k.a., one of the robots the military is using for surveillance/urban intelligence gathering operations in Iraq and Afghanistan). The application provides full streaming Point Of View view capable of syncing with the Packbot over a Wi-Fi network.
