At a MacWorld conference last week, Handmark has unveiled a free travel version of its Pocket Express suite.
The free version includes OAG flight schedules and status, information and bookings from Hotels.com, dozens of quick dial travel numbers (airlines, rental car agencies, etc.), around-the-clock travel reservations service and automatic conversions for 164 global currencies.
Since the service is free, there are some advertising embedded in the software. However, it is nothing to worry about.
If you are person who travels alot and needs such software head on to PocketExpress and download it.

One of the nicer programs around is Tooble. A sleek iTunes-like tool designed to copy videos from YouTube to your iPhone (or iPod).
You can browse YouTube through categories, searching, or with a direct URL, and select any video for download. Then it downloads the video, converts it into MP4, and imports it into iTunes to be uploaded onto your device.
One requirement is that you need Mac OS X 10.4 or latter. Thankfully, this great little tool is free. get it here.

Coming as a feature for the late iTunes 7.6, the ability to purchase rental copies of movies has finally arrived.
Costing a meager $3.99 for new rentals ($2.99 for older movies), you get the option to rent movies cheap instead of being forced to buy them if you wanted to watch them. HD quality movies, new and old, are reserved for Apple TV, at $4.99 and $3.99 respectively. The actual quality of both kinds of videos are DVD-relative - that is, HD movies are DVD quality, while iTunes are near DVD quality.
Movies downloaded via iTunes are usable via Mac/PC or your mobile viewing device, but Apple TV-downloaded presentations are limited only to Apple TV. The time limit on movies starts when you watch one that’s been rented within 30 days of purchase, which gives you 24 hours to watch it as much as you want (but you can wait up to 30 days before starting the timer, if you choose).
You’ll need the latest version of Quicktime to access this feature with iTunes, apparently, but that’s no problem since it’s a standard with Apple products.
The rental feature is available as of last Tuesday, the 15th.
