As the Sun reports, David and Victoria Beckham gave their 8-year-old son Brooklyn an iPhone as a Christmas present.
The Sun’s source said: “David and Victoria are aware that Brooklyn is very young to have a mobile. But they thought it would be a good idea so he could call them whenever he needed - especially with David and Victoria globe-trotting so much.”
“Brooklyn is really switched on with computers and gadgets. He set his heart on the iPhone when he saw it on TV in America.”

“He loves computer games and is always on his PSP handheld console.â€Â
There have already been some criticizing comments on that. Child expert Dreena Hamilton, of the Channel 4 show Bringing Up Baby, warned the Beckhams on risk of spoiling their son. She said: “An eight-year-old can have no possible use for an iPhone - it’s irrelevant to his life.â€Â
We do not think that there would be anything wrong in teaching young people how to use modern and breakthrough technology. Can not wait to see what will Brooklyn’s younger brothers Romeo and Cruz get when they will turn eight.

Now the UK’s National Mobile Phone Crime Unit (NMPCU) says that the fear of being robbed of your iPhone while out in public, should not be substantial, although the MICAF (Mobile Industry Crime Action Forum) previously said that it’s the other way around. Simply being aware of your surroundings is your best defense, according to the NMPCU.
Inspector Chris Paice of the NMPCU told our source: “Most of the iPhones stolen have been the result of shoplifting rather than street crime, robberies or the use of violence.”

Mr. Paice went on to say: “Operation Prestige was a huge success particularly as it was run over the winter with darker evenings and the clocks going back. We did not carry out an operation on this scale last year and so have little to compare it with. However we did see a marked decrease in robberies and street crimes during the period that the operation ran compared to the same period last year.” — Overall, 324 devices were recovered, with a total of 56 arrests made to yield them.
If this is the case, perhaps you won’t need to petition for an upgraded iPhone including tazer. The best way to prevent something bad happening, is to keep your back to a wall and don’t wave your iPhone around visibly. If nothing else, keep the receipt and hope Apple will replace it.

It seems like David Lynch, the director of classic Dune, Mulholland Dr. and many other movies (full filmography), really doesn’t like viewing movies on the iPhone, and like all of them creative movie business folks that are passionate about showbiz he had to do something about it.
So while some of the same people gave iPhone the American Film Institute awards for 2007, Mr Lynch decided make a fairly amusing video against it.
Which you can see below (note: it contains some improper language that might be NSFW and is probably not appropriate for children, and could certainly get you fired if you work with children).

Yes, the iPhone diet. The last thing you probably ever thought of using your iPhone for. I mean, where are our commercials? I think we should hire that Jared guy for a spokesperson…but I digress.

The iPhone diet is simple method of using your iPhone, and a free website that gives you a healthy path to follow in your daily routine. What makes this nice is the fact that you’ll likely always have your iPhone with you, so you can’t blame your home PC for that “accidental” meatball sub you had for lunch. Below is the press release for your iPhone dieting needs.
“The diet itself is rarely the problem,” says Thorsten Hoins, creator of the iPhone Diet. “Being overweight is the result of bad eating habits. The healthy way to lose weight - and to not gain it back - is to permanently replace those bad eating habits with good ones.”
The healthy way to lose weight - and to not gain it back - is to permanently replace those bad eating habits with good ones.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of discipline…and from what I hear, I’m not alone.” Hoins reasons that most people, just like him, know how to lose weight, but that that knowledge isn’t making a lasting difference. So, to break the unhealthy yo-yo dieting cycle, Hoins designed a diet - using only his iPhone - that requires no discipline, no food restrictions, no shakes, no pills, nor any of the other short term fixes usually associated with fad diets.
It also doesn’t require any money … so the diet is available at iPhoneDiet.org, free of charge. “The iPhone Diet is my gift to the frustrated dieter. I feel blessed to have come up with this truly effortless diet for my own personal use…and am humbled by the opportunity to share it,” Hoins continues. “There is nothing more valuable than health and I consider this opportunity to permanently improve the health of others a great privilege.”
About iPhoneDiet.org
iPhoneDiet.org makes available, free-of-charge, the iPhone Diet - an automatic path to healthy eating habits and lifelong weight management. It was designed in 2001 by Thorsten Hoins for his own, personal use. Thorsten built iPhoneDiet.org in response to requests he received from friends and colleagues to share his diet - when it became obvious to them that, whatever it was he was doing, was working.

After the likes of Pharrell and Rosie O’Donell, ex-president of the USA Bill Clinton is the latest celebrity to join the “I-like-iPhone” circle, and apparently Steve Jobs got him one on the house. At least if this following rumor is to be believed.
As this blogger writes:
I got my iphone signed by Bill Clinton
Sounds funny right. But I am dead serious. He signed my iphone and we had friendly conversation about it. He told me that Steve Jobs got him one too.

I wanted to tell that Al Gore is on apple’s board of directors, he should be able to get prerelease version with 3g or smth, but he was already taken away by his escort….
Here you can read more…. Whether you buy this rumour or not, this is one cool story.
