iPhone Podcaster: stream podcasts to your iPhone!

iPhone World:

So Pro Technologies have released a very handy new web application for the iPhone called Podcaster — Podcaster allows you to listen to podcasts directly from your iPhone and provides a centralized portal for all your podcasts collection.

Podcaster users can search through a directory of podcasts, browse top podcasts (This Week in Tech, CNN, ESPN, MacBreak to name a few), and add any of them (including from your own sources) to favorites list.

The advantage of this service is of course the fact that you won’t need to take up any space with podcasts on your iPhone nor spend the time on transferring MP3 files to your iPhone via iTunes. And the centralized portal with additional features does a solid job of making this service even more attractive — you even get notifications when your bookmarked podcasts are updated, tags are implemented, and one is able to easily switch between present and past podcast episodes.

Makayama Brings Voice-Activation to the iPhone

iPhone World Ads: iPhone Accessories - Free iPhone - Unlimited iPhone Downloads - iPhone Games - Free iPod Touch

Using this new program, dubbed VoiceDial, you gain the ability to vocally activate any contact, application, or website/bookmark of your choosing, by easily recording a sample that you put into place.

Once you record a sample and link it to one of the aforementioned utilities, you simply speak to your iPhone and it opens the designated item. Sounds alot easier than fumbling in your car, eh?

VoiceDial isn’t limited to a language barrier because of the method it uses to get things done, which saves alot of hassle in the long run. VoiceDial is available as a trial, if you’re interested, by using the installer app and opening this link. If you wish to purchase, the program is on sale currently until February, for $27.95 (or EUR 19.95), saving you $5.

Also available, by Quicktate, is the Voice-to-Text app we’ve previously reported on. Albeit not as handy, it’s good for the lazy typer in all of us.
