Gizmodo is reporting that one of their readers sent them a pretty legitimate-looking email thread of Steve Jobs responding to a complaint regarding iPhone not have tethering capabilities. Electronista is reporting that iPhone firmware 1.1.3 is expected to be released by the end of this week. There is some good news and bad news. So all the speculations that the URL embedded into the Stocks and the Weather widgets, which apparently included your iPhone’s equipment ID (coverage below) was used by Apple for tracking has been squashed by a German site Heise Online. Last Saturday I had reported that folks at T3, who had a chance to play around with the to-be-launched tomorrow UK iPhone had claimed that the iPhone firmware update v1.1.2 was indeed official and could hit us as early as Nov 9th when the iPhone gets launched in UK.
