Or so we think. I’ve been checking out this video on Gizmodo of the apparent v1.1.3 iPhone firmware update that Apple should be releasing soon. The video shows a guy moving around the iPhone’s icons changing the order. Apparently the updated firmware version breaks all unlocks, and jailbreak apps, and cannot be cracked this time around because iTunes installs Apple’s private key.

While Apple continues to break our jailbreaks and 3rd party apps, they are working on the iPhone to make it faster and more battery efficient. The recent update of firmware v1.1.2 boosts the iPhone’s clock speed from a CPU Frequency of 400Mhz, and a Bus frequency of 100mHz, to a CPU frequency of 412Mhz, and a Bus frequency of 103Mhz. This information can be obtained via SysInfo in installer.app.

Chances are not good that this SDK will be made available to everyone though. I am sure it wouldnĂ¢ââââ¢t take much to get a copy, youĂ¢ââââ¢d just have to form yourself into a company, and then apply, and theyĂ¢ââââ¢d probably send you one.

So hopefully one of the iPhone Dev Team guys can either incorporate the iPhone Dev Team, in some other fashion, make a legitimate business out of it and they can hire any number of hackers to work from the comfort of their home to develop great apps for the iPhone, for free. The only difference would be, you wouldnĂ¢ââââ¢t have to hack your iPhone to use them

Its beginning to look like that might be the case. There is a website at www.apple.com/webapps but it doesnĂ¢ââââ¢t work right now.

There are also hints to the database within the recent downloads RSS feed where you can find some of the apps listed. There is Blackjack 21, Solitaire, and 101 Cookbooks all for the iPhone.
