If you have a slight addiction to Starbucks coffee as well as an addiction to Apple technology you’re in luck. Thanks to Apple’s deal with Starbucks for free WiFi at their stores you’ll be able to order your favorite coffee without dealing with long lines.

Looking quite a lot better than the thrown-together mockup David Sieger used to illustrate his theory of an upcoming iPod Touch-based MacBook tablet, possibly reviving the Newton name, this fan-made creation manages to capture the current state of Apple design. They’ve even developed the idea of an iMac style docking station into which an Apple sub-device would slot so as to allow access to full-sized peripherals.
“[T]he Keyboard Wireless Dock connects to the dock using Wireless USB. It also has a bigger hard drive, some sort of DVD player/burner, inputs for your USB and Firewire devices. The whole keyboard part itself is used as a large multitouch track pad. Since the keys need to be depressed when hit, you can do lighter touches as you move across the whole thing” Design’s creator

Sure, it is just something some Apple fan boy came up with, but I doubt him or the other members of the Factory Joe blog are too far off. Chances are real good that we actually can expect something of this nature soon.

They even supposition the idea of up to a 64GB SSD, sure, that sounds great, but right now that would push this device into the same price range as the larger MacBook Pro’s maybe even higher. Personally I think a device with about half that storage, but a larger multi-touch screen, a faster processor and some dedicated system RAM as well as more ports and a fuller version of OS X would be great.

Victor Soto must be a genius, or at least have clue of how a real bride would like to be proposed to. Just imagine if your engagement ring was connected via Bluetooth to a new iPhone you were also receiving?

The iRing would connect to your iPhone via Bluetooth, and I assume this design counts on an adapter for iPod integration or counts on the upcoming iPod Touch to have Bluetooth built in, which really wouldn’t be much of a stretch. There is an OLED status display; the ring rotates for volume control too.

So, we will know for sure on September 5th whether this entire hubbub about the appearance and features of upcoming iterations of Apple’s line of music players is really worth it. Until then though, we have two more pictures, one depicting what I assume is a new iPod Nano, which is slightly shorter, but slightly fatter, with Cover Flow.

The other is of, what looks like, an iPod Touch advertisement which shows the new iPod to essentially be what was predicted, an iPhone without the phone capabilities. The poster has a frame from the movie E.T. where there is a spark between E.T. and the boy’s hand as they “touch†and then there is the usual branding below with iPodtouch written as one word with the iPod portion bolded, and of course the lettering is all white.
