Twitterrific Updated To 1.1, New Features Added, Bugs Squashed

Iconfactory released Twitterrific for iPhone v1.1 today, bringing with it a whole host of new features and bug fixes. Many of the added features address shortcomings and quirks found in the first version. Of note, the camera icon now asks whether you want to take a photo or select from your cameral roll and photos taken are saved to your iPhone before they're uploaded. Scrolling has been significantly sped up and many memory leaks have been plugged. Additionally, your scroll position doesn't change when exiting or refreshing the application. Line Rider Coming To iPhone Later This Month

inXile Entertainment recently confirmed rumors by announcing that they are porting their popular web game Line Rider to the iPhone and iPod touch some time this month. The game will follow the same format as the massively popular web version at linerider.com.

O2 Announces Pay-As-You-Go iPhone 3G Pricing

UK iPhone carrier O2 has finally announced their pay-as-you-go contract prices for the iPhone 3G. Starting September 16, the device will be available without a contract from O2, Apple, and Carphone Warehouse. The unsubsidized price of the device will be £349.99 (US$630) for the 8GB model and £399.99 for the 16GB. Interestingly, this price includes Wi-Fi and data network access for 12 months after activation, and only afterward will users need to sign up for a £10 monthly subscription. However, Apple warns that Visual Voicemail and call merging will not be available on contract-free versions.

EA Announces Nine New iPhone Titles

Game developer EA announced that Spore Origins will be released later this month for the iPhone and iPod touch, but they also announced plans for at least nine additional games as well. Other games coming to the iPhone this month from the company include Yahtzee Adventures, EA Mini Golf, Lemonade Tycoon, Mahjong, Monopoly: Here & Now The World Edition, SimCity, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, Need for Speed Undercover and The Sims 3. They did not offer a schedule for their release.
