OS X Ã¢â‚¬ËœScreen SharingÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ channels Leopard to ASUS Eee

How about an ultraportable notebook with Mac OS X Leopard, great battery life and all for around $299?Ã‚Â Well, not quite, but jkOnTheRun’s Kevin Tofel has been experimenting with ways to access his Mac system on the move via his latest toy: ASUS’ Eee.Ã‚Â In case you’ve been out of touch for the past few months (or maybe have your permanent Mac-only filters set to ‘high’!) but the Eee is a Linux-powered super compact laptop intended for new users or people looking for a cheap second machine.Ã‚Â Kevin has been playing with its ability to connect via VNC to OS X’s Screen Sharing - basically a cutesy way of describing VNC - hence this image of what looks like an Eee running Leopard.

iPhone Notes syncing reference gone

So there was a little blurb about OS X Leopard that alluded to the fact that Notes syncing might become available to iPhone users with Leopard, but has since been removed. Certainly you can supposition the reasons why just as well as I can, either they changed their mind, or they just didnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t want to tell everybody just yet.

If itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s the latter, then on the 26th weÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ll all find out as that first person either is or isnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t allowed to sync Notes with their iPhone. If itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s the former, they are probably still going to release the feature, just not right now, maybe it needed some more polishing, or maybe there are other motivators for holding out on us.
