Assim let apenas esperar e ver.

Com horas principais de Macworld as meras ausentes - e nossos meninos Vincent e James em sua maneira a LiveBlog a coisa inteira para SlashGear - the rumor mill has not only spun up to a high milling-speed but practically consumed its own grinding wheel (yes, I’ll leave that metaphor alone now). Central to the bloghype has been a purported leak of Steve Jobs’ keynote itself (reprinted in full below) in which the Apple chief announces the iPhone SDK, new 13-inch MacBooks measuring just 0.8-inches thick, a 16GB iPhone and YouTube downloads for Apple TV. General consensus is that it’s too vague - and bland - to be real, and is either the warbling fantasy of an Apple-fan with too much time, or a distraction purposefully put out by devious Apple.

In other patent news, Apple has further fuelled expectations for an ultraportable MacBook with the filing of an application that details an iMac-like base station into which a laptop-sized device can be slotted so as to take advantage of full-sized keyboard, mouse and screen. Gizmodo, who unearthed the patent, threw together this mockup of how the system could work, with the ultraslim notebook sliding into the side of the monitor, which has the same ports and connectivity as an iMac desktop machine.

Look beyond the badly PhotoShop’d image and the Apple Newton revival gains further momentum with Seeking Alpha’s David Sieger piling together his evidence for an ultraportable device built around a 5.2-inch touchscreen. Supposedly based on an image of a larger-than-iPhone unit with a “distinguishing button or depression on each side” as seen by “trusted tipster”, the device is intended to be held horizontally rather than vertically and is suggested to be using a MultiTouch-enabled 800 x 480 display provided by Balda and Wintek.
