Yet another security flaw in the iPhone's software had been found, and while it's probably not particularly harmful to the majority of users, it is pretty interesting. Karl Kraft posted the exploit on his blog, but he wasn't the one to uncover it. No, despite his skills with a computer and knowledge of the software, he didn't find it. Instead he says it was found by his 12-year-old son.

Apple is continuing to do what they can to get the word out about their recall of the faulty Ultracompact USB Power Adapters. Yesterday they issued an SMS message to all iPhone 3G owners in the affected areas notifying them about the recall and telling them what they should do if they are affected by it.

Those of you who are fans of SwirlyMMS will be happy to know that the SwirlySpace Team announced that SwirlyMMS 1.2 for firmware 2.x has been released. For those of you who aren't familiar, SwirlyMMS is a stand-in MMS app that lets you send multimedia messages to other SwirlyMMS users. You can send images, text, audio, video, as well as any other filetype you want. 2.1 is compatible with both 2G and 3G iPhones and is now available in Cydia for download.

Tired of ridiculously overpriced data rates for SMS messages? Me too. Luckily we're not alone. US Senator and head of the Antitrust Committee Herb Kohl thinks there's something fishy going on with how much SMS text messages are being priced, and he's doing something about it. On Wednesday he submitted an open letter to the heads of all four major wireless carriers in the US giving them the opportunity to justify what appears to be unnecessarily high fees.
