Just minutes ago, the iPhone Dev Team has released a software unlock method for the new iPhone 3GS. Till few minutes ago, the iPhone Dev Team had already provided the tools to Jailbreak and Unlock then iPhone 2G and 3G with OS 3.0. The method for the iPhone 3GS is as simple usual. First you perform an Jailbreak with an updated Resdsn0w program on your iPhone 3GS.This will install the Cydia app repository. In Cydia you will find the Ultrasn0w program to remove your carrier lock, beter known as the SIM Unlock. After that you can slip in any SIM card and it should work. Note: I haven’t tested ultrasn0w, beacause I have an Italian iPhone which is SIM Unlocked in the fabric.
