Someone made a mistake and shipped several MobileMe boxes to their recipiants several days ahead of schedule. At around the same time that the new Mobile Me email addresses became active for certain .Mac users, Apple accidentally shipped multiple MobileMe boxes to customers who had pre-ordered the service through the Online Apple Store.

Englewood, CO security firm MX Logic stated in their Threat Forecast and Report for July, 2008 that people should beware spam claiming to have information on the iPhone 3G launch to happen on July 11th. "MX Logic expects significant spam, scams and malware campaigns surrounding the highly anticipated July 11th release of Apple’s new iPhone. Scams will be especially prevalent if supply doesn’t meet demand."

The US Patent and Trademark Office released a rather large pile of patent applications earlier this morning filed by Apple, the bulk of which pertained to the ongoing research of multi-touch technology by Wayne Westerman, former cofounder of Fingerworks. These applications specifically dealt with the refining of the touch experience by avoiding unintentional contact, hardware advancements, as well as the use of gestures.
