Two New iPhones in 2008?
According to researchers with the investment bank Goldman Sachs, they say that after meeting with key component suppliers in Asia that they have much reason to believe that Apple will introduce two ‘revisions’ of the iPhone in 2008. On top of this interesting news, a supposed overhaul to Apple TV during the second half of the year is also expected.
“Apple will refresh its entire Mac line-up throughout 2008, but information about the potential launch of a subnotebook was scarce, with one supplier saying that the product may be pushed out, citing possible design issues,” says analyst David Bailey.

“Both the iPod Touch and nano are seeing strength while iPod shuffle demand seems stable, which should cause blended average selling prices (ASPs) to come in above our $150 estimate,” he continued.
It was said that he believed that being developed is a second-generation iPhone in the final stages of design, expected for release around the second half of 2008. Features were simply thought to be 3G and perhaps minor technical upgrades, though the other iPhone being mentioned will probably have “a smaller upgrade with more flash memory earlier in the year.” Mr. Bailey said.
According to Asian contracts of his, he had reason to believe that Apple was going to make changes to Apple TV, which “could include an LCD display” he said.
We previously mentioned about Apple designing a cheaper model iPhone without a touch screen, which seems completely viable for those wanting the sleek and sexy device but without a fat and sweaty wallet.
